The Golf Shop Attendant provides daily coordination of guest services, sales and assistance at the The Loop at Chaska Golf Shop.

1. Provides and monitors course check-in activities, including greeting guests, provides course information and assistance and taking payment for balls, greens and cart fees; and schedules future tee times.
2. Provides quality customer service while checking in customers either in person or by telephone. Answers customer questions and schedules tee times.
3. Merchandises, monitors and organizes, stocks, and provides product information for guests and order input to Golf Professionals.
4. Directs and assists course starters, rangers, and outside service staff, ensuring smooth course play.
5. Assists Golf Professionals with recommendations regarding course policies and procedures, inclement weather determination, and related activities to ensure course safety and customer satisfaction.
6. Performs all other related duties as requested or assigned.

Education and Experience

• High School Diploma or G.E.D.
• Six months of golf shop or concession experience, or equivalent experience using golf software and/or retail operation skills

• Excellent in-person, telephone and e-mail customer service skills
• Knowledge of the rules of play of golf
• Computer software skills, specifically golfing software programs
• Ability to problem solve, and communicate solutions clearly to customers and staff

• Significant contact with the golfing public; informing and teaching course rules, and monitoring pace of play

• Varying periods of walking/standing in golf shop

• Pulling, lifting merchandise containers, stocking displays and shelves

• Office/golf shop environment
• Course and outlying areas, occasionally in inclement weather
